Oct. 2nd, 2013: Vote on five bills to fund five areas of federal government

Libertarian Girl shared Congressman Thomas Massie's post.
Update from Congressman Thomas Massie on the progress (or lack thereof) of the funding and government shut down debate:
Please Share this Update: Today we will vote on five bills to fund five areas of federal government. The media wants to make this a partisan issue, but all of these bills have republican and democrat support in the House. Assuming they pass, these will go to the Senate tonight.

(1) H.J. Res 70, Open Our National Parks and Museums
(2) H.J. Res 71, Provide Local Funding for DC
(3) H.J. Res 72, Honoring Our Promise to America's Veteran's
(4) H.J. Res 73, Research for Lifesaving Cures
(5) H.R. 3230, Pay Our Guard and Reserve

I think Veterans as well as Reservists and members of the Guard should be given the same respect and treatment that both chambers of congress and the president extended Monday to active duty members of the military. (If you agree or disagree with this statement, please comment.)

Please share this message, as I feel that the media is failing to report our activity in a timely or accurate manner. Many constituents are unaware that their members are voting on these bills today. Thank you!
