WWII Memorial Barricades torn down many thrown in front of White House

The “Million Vet March” seems to have had some success today Oct. 13th, 2013.

The Vets and their supporters tore down and removed many of the barricades blocking the War Memorials.

"It is important to note that over the past two weeks, the Republican Congress, who has initiated the government shutdown has passed a bill that would reinstate these payments.  But that bill cannot get an up or down vote in the Democratic controlled Senate."

For Better or for Worse, Sarah Palin and Senator Ted Cruz (C) (R-TX) recite the Pledge of Allegiance during the "Million Vet March on the Memorials"
Other than pushing for a Bill to be introduced into Congress making it so that all Memorials will never be shutdown (except for Maintenance regardless of the Government situation.

Million Vet March Website states:
"This is why we will go to Congress after the budget crisis and ask for a bill to be introduced that would prevent any member of the government from closing our memorials down to any American, except for maintenance purposes.  In the meantime, we will have our March in Washington DC on October 13th!  Our veterans deserve that!"

This seems to have turned out peaceful and has had a small world impression, how long this lasts, is anyone's guess.

The Blame Game for Government Shutdown

Over the past week or so I have heard many people bitingly rip into the republicans for responsibility for the government shutdown and for not funding this or that.

(I'm not one to defend Republican or Democrat ideology at any length)

The problem with this notion is 1) The Democrats are also responsible for the Shutdown 2) The Republicans and a few Dems/Independents voted to FUND EVERYTHING Except Obamacare [ACA] {With the glaring exception of The President himself and 3/4 of the Democrat party} 3) The Republicans immediately on the first day of shutdown Re-pushed through bills to fund the items like Reservists and such

Now we finally have More Democrats waking up and pushing for the same thing.

The problem with the Repub and Dem party lines is they are just playing the Nation for votes and in the end it matters not who wins the presidency or congressional seats. (The vast majority of them have either broken their Oaths of office, or have acted in a Treasonous manner more than once), We end up with the same thing just with slightly altered wording. It's a game that keeps us (the Citizen), running in circles while they (the ones voted {Supposedly} into power), get to keep hold of their power, position and keep grabbing for more and more of our money, even if it puts us into further debt.

Right now, they (The Congressional Leaders and the President) are protected in vague terms from the debt they are inflicting upon us (the People of the U.S.A), while we (the Citizens), have to work off for generations their (the Leaders), folly.

Things that should be done by way of the Constitution and the Supporting Laws of the land.

1) Arrest, Trial and Convict (if a conviction is found), all those who have publicly and (if known), privately broken their Oath of Office.

2) Arrest, Trial and Convict (if a conviction is found), all those who have publicly and (if known), privately done acts of Treason while serving us the Citizens in Government positions.

3) Have a Public Constitutional Committee sat by regular working Americans (No one who has served Public office to be allowed. No Corporate backing whatsoever). Decree that all those convicted of Oath Breaking and Treason shall not be able to take up office in the United States Government again and also their Families for up to at least one generation.

4) The Public Constitutional Committee shall request and work with the United States Military Branches to keep secure our Borders, Seat of Government, while putting all international military operations on hold until the Government is re-situated.

5) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Void all Contracts and policies with Private Organizations/Companies until they can each be reviewed by the Newly Elected Congress for Legality, Constitutionality and determination of Necessity. While also voiding until further review all monies (Aid), export by way of contract, policy and or treaty to foreign nations and or entities.

6) The Public Constitutional Committee shall hold a nationwide vote to fill the vacancy's left by the convicted Leaders, Holding quorum for any political party or Non-affiliated party runner. (i.e. Libertarian, Constitutionalist, Green, Socialist, Non-Affiliated, Republican, Democrat, Independent, Etc.)

7) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress will put to vote the 28th Amendment.

8) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress will put to vote an Amendment for new term limits for all offices of Government, in light of and to prevent Cronyism, Nepotism and other such things. (Example: President 1 Term 2 year limit, Senators 1 Term 3 year limit and so on).

9) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree (with uninterrupted Public Press Coverage), that once all vacancy’s left void due to arrest and conviction are filled. That the New Congress shall review all Aspects of the Old Governments policies, bills, Statutes, Executive Orders, and Programs (in reference to the Constitution), and vote on either Fully cutting them, Trimming them, and or changing them.

10) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress shall review all Aspects of the Old Governments Bureaus and Departments and either merge or fully get rid of based on the Need of the Nation and in the interest of creating surplus out of debt.

11) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress shall review all Aspects of the Old Governments Contracts and or Policies were they work with or have Private Companies do Government work whether or not it is authorized by the U.S. Constitution.

12) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress in reviewing the Private Companies will make a 5 or 7 year plan to move our Country from Fiat Debt Money ({Private} Federal Reserve Company Notes), back to U.S. Treasury Precious Metals backed Notes. And Enact a Law or Amendment that will prevent such Usurpation of Congressional Authority even by Congress itself over the National Money System.

13) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress will review all Government Debt for the United States of America and either take steps to paying it down after the Monetary system is transferred over to the U.S. Treasury and or conclude that certain aspects of the debt are invalidated due to it being on the Fiat system and is the responsibility of the Private owners of the Federal Reserve Company, who helped instigate and create such debt in the first place.

14) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress will review all Foreign Military actions and Bases and facilities and vote on each ones necessity, with ultimate goal of downsizing our Foreign footprint and upgrading our Domestic security.

15) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress shall review all Treaties with all Countries, and restructure the foreign policy toward all nations.

16) The Public Constitutional Committee shall Decree that the New Congress shall create a bill that will 'Nation Build' our Domestic Infrastructure for roads, bridges, sewer, water, gas, oil (refineries), Electric (Underground Smart Grid), High Speed Railway systems, which will create a Job surplus. Working out deals so that local and national companies are working together in the same effort. (While helping to push forth test communities for Alternative Energies/Transportation and Building (using stronger and cheaper materials) While pushing research and production of materials such as Carbon 3 and Carbon Nano Tubes into the Private sector to help push up production and ingenuity as well as decreasing production costs.

17) Final act, the disassembly of the Public Constitutional Committee and the New Congress taking back the reigns of the Country.

P.S.
This is by far not a complete proposal, but it is a foundation for restructuring the United States of America while getting rid of as much corruption as is Humanly possible.

Ventura: ‘If You Don’t Work, We Shouldn’t Have to Pay Taxes’

Credit: Infowars.com

"Appearing on Piers Morgan’s show, Ventura declared that Democrats and Republicans have essentially “legalized bribery” in the American legislature, and that the only way to fix the system would be to elect independents to office."

"“I think it’s time for a revolt in this country. I’ve been advocating a revolution for years now.” Ventura said, adding “revolutions don’t have to be violent, but we need one, and I would tell everyone here, vote them all out of office and don’t vote in a new Democrat or Republican, vote for anyone BUT Democrats and Republicans.”

Ventura, himself an independent governor, recently announced that he is considering running for president as an independent in 2016."

WWII Vets Blocked from Predominatly private funded outside Memorial

"The Emperor Has No Clothes: WWII Vets Expose Obama’s Contempt Towards the American People

http://www.infowars.com/the-emperor-has-no-clothes-wwii-vets-expose-obamas-contempt-towards-the-american-people/

With over 800 WWII veterans dying every day, it is imperative for our greatest generation to be allowed access to the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. so they can honor their fellow Americans who never made it back home.

The memorial, funded primarily by private donations, is an architectural structure out in an open, public space.

There is NO access to it; it's outside!

Yet the Obama administration purposely erected barricades around the memorial to keep veterans out, under the guise of a "government shut down" which shouldn't affect access to a public memorial at all.

It is absolutely, completely disgusting that our veterans, who sacrificed so much as individuals, are being treated like this."

- The federal government actually put in effort to shut down electronic access to educational material already paid for by taxpayers during the current budget impasse.

- National Park Service workers are erecting a barricade around the World War II memorial to keep veterans out of the memorial, which was predominantly funded by private donations.

- At the beginning on the current government shutdown, Obama closed the White House to the public, denying tours to school children and families.
- The White House is however still open for elitists to attend state dinners and special events.

FEMA Region III: Crisis or Red Herring?

What are the FEMA Regions: See here: http://www.fema.gov/regional-operations
FEMA Preparing For A Major Event In Region III (No Prob. 386,000 UN Troops to handle.

Following the bread crumb trail of FEMA orders, retired State Senator Sheldon R. Songstad of South Dakota State issued an “Emergency Fema Region 3 Alert!!!,” on August 13th.
Region three is comprised of; Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Songstad’s research turned up some very interesting facts. Each item on its own could go unnoticed, but the collective facts may be worthy of your attention and scrutiny. The U.S. government appears to be preparing for a major event. It appears that this event is being staged for approximately Oct. 1st. Let’s look at the numbers and dates.
UN Peacekeepers began training the 4th week of July and will complete their nine week training by October 1st. They are learning English, as well as US weapon systems and Urban Warfare training.
How many troops are training? 386,000 troops!

Yes you may have seen or heard about this, but it may in fact just be a 'Red Herring'.

Is the FEMA Region III Alert a Red Herring?

Michael T. Winter

Let us address the origin of the announcement itself. Ostensibly, it originated from Sheldon R. Songstad, a retired state representative and senator from South Dakota. He has been out of state politics for twenty-five years. One could ask, "How did he come up with all this information?" In digging a little further, it turns out the actual news itself originated from one David Eelles on 07.17.2013. 2. Mr. Eelles runs two websites. One is a gloom and doom site called Americas Last Days and the other is an 'end of days' religious site, here. There are several articles and clips regarding Mr. Eelles that can best be summarized by one of them, called "Prophet for Profit?"

To the alert itself, which on the surface is highly alarming and, dare I say, panic inducing (at least for people in Region III). A quick recitation of the various threads 'put together' by Songstad/Eelles are as follows:

15,000 Russians in Baltimore by October 1st.

82% of our combat forces and their supply elements out of CONUS by October 1st.

FEMA purchase orders for over $14.2 million for MREs and heater meals delivered to Region III by October 1st.

FEMA purchase orders for 22 million pouches of emergency water delivered to region III by October 1st.

FEMA purchase orders for $13.6 million for MREs and heater meals delivered to Austin by October 1st.

Nine-week training course for UN Peacekeepers in CONUS to learn Urban Warfare, English, and US weapons systems beginning 4th week of July for 386,000 troops to be completed by October 1st.

$11 million in antibiotics delivered to FEMA region III by October 1st ordered by CDC.

World Health Organization held second emergency meeting in its history to discuss MERs coronavirus. Determined a vaccine MUST be in place by October 1st.

2800 MRAPs delivered to DHS by October 1st. (Military urban assault vehicles).

No leave allowed for US military from September 28th thru November 5th.

NORCOMM yearly training for civil unrest suspended until September 27th. To be performed in northeast coastal areas.

Date for release of QE3 report moved to October 16th.

All DHS agents MUST qualify with sidearm, shotgun, and AR 15 by September 28th.

Sporadic testing of GPS and Communications satellites is coordinated for the first time with a testing date of September 29th.

POTUS mandates to FEMA and DHS concerning support for metropolitan communities dealing with the extreme climate change MUST be complete by October 1st.

Over 300 school systems in the US have determined they need three-day kits for each school AND three-day kits for each student to take with them. All deliveries scheduled for the month of September.

All National Guard units will complete riot control and disaster assistance training during this year's annual two week training. All units MUST have their training complete by September 30th.

Daily testing of the Emergency Broadcast System beginning on 09.25.2013 -10.02.2013.

Eastern-based Coast Guard units to perform massive group training usually performed in the Gulf, in the Virginia and Delaware areas. This is a 10-day training mission to begin September 26th.

Wow! Scary stuff! One wonders how a retired state politician and an 'end of days' minister sourced, collated and postulated all this information, much of which is internal military and FEMA directives not readily available to the general public. One must also question how this search and source operation could have breathed life? What impelled them to look at military and FEMA directives to begin with? I submit the information was made available to them from TPTB. In keeping with the globalists M.O., in all likelihood, both Eelles and Songstad are unwitting disinfo agents, thoroughly believing they 'stumbled' onto critical information the public needs to be aware of. The alternative media then took the horse and ran with it. Off to the races! Another national disinformation campaign is up and running! (Rubbing of hands and evil chuckles follow).

Options for reopening the U.S. Government

Rand Paul

"As a physician, I am trained to look for solutions to problems. The Republicans have offered several solutions and compromises in order to re-open the government.

Last night I discussed some of these solutions with Sean Hannity. Watch here: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtQad4EGbuY
(Taken From: https://www.facebook.com/RandPaul)

Social Security, Medicare, Active Military, Welfare are currently being funded along with the NSA and many other ABC Departments.

As of right now Approximately 85% of the U.S. Government is still being funded.

President Obama and Hary Reid are currently refusing to consider the House's modifications whether on Obamacare or for funding the rest of the Government.

Why is this? Any good and learned American will know that the President is only a Head of State, but currently As like Bush Jr. the President acts like he has (Dictatorial Powers), instead of allowing the true Governing Body (For whatever that's worth), Congress to do their jobs.

Could it be it is another step toward breaking the U.S. Dollar?

Or could it be something else entirely?

SHUTDOWN: U.S. Prepares for Martial Law with MRAP's

We will see soon enough.

U.S. Lawmakers: Some Refuse Pay, Some to Donate

Lawmakers Refuse Pay, some to Donate:
For what it's worth...

http://www.libertynews.com/ writes:
During today’s media briefing, White House press secretary Jay Carney was asked whether President Obama would donate his salary during the shutdown to charity, as more than 70 members of Congress are doing.
Carney implied that Obama won’t: “Our position is that the government should be open.”
Carney added that the administration hopes Congress would authorize back pay for furloughed workers.
“It’s the right thing to do,” Carney said.
 http://www.washingtonpost.com/ writes:
Barack Hussein Obama’s net worth is estimated at $12.2 million. He has an annual salary of $400,000, or about $33,000 a month.
As of early afternoon Wednesday, at least 100 lawmakers — 53 Republicans and 47 Democrats — have said that they plan to donate or refuse compensation earned over the course of the impasse. (The count includes a few members who already donate their salary to charity). Here's our tally, but check back for updates, as we will continue updating the list continuously:
Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.): A senior aide said that "Any days that federal workers do not get paid, Sen. Ayotte will donate her salary to a New Hampshire charity."
Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.): He said Tuesday on Facebook that "Those who make the laws should have to live by those laws. So as a result of partisan bickering and gridlock, I will be donating my salary for the duration of the government shutdown to local charities until the Senate and President agree to negotiate with the House and we are able to work together to find a solution and reopen the government."
Rep. Ami Bera (D-Calif): He will decline his pay because "Congress should lead by example and put people before politics,” he said in a statement. “If Congress can't do its job and put the American people first, then they certainly shouldn't get paid during a crisis that they are causing. We must stop the finger-pointing, start acting like adults, and make Washington work for the people again.”
Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.): The lawmaker announced on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon that he wants his pay withheld "until we are able to resolve the govt #shutdown."
Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio): His office said in a statement that the senator "will not accept his federal salary accrued during the government shutdown and will instead donate it to charity. In 2011, Brown pledged to forego his salary in the event of a government shutdown. Following the 1995 shutdown, Brown donated his salary to various charities in his then-House District." He will donate his salary this time to the Ohio-based Honor Flight Network.
Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-Fla.): He posted a photo on his Facebook page late Tuesday of him signing a letter asking that his pay be withheld "for as long as the federal government is shut down."
Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.): "No small business would pay someone who refuses to do their job,” Buchanan said in a statement Tuesday.  “So why should Senators or House members be paid for failing to fulfill one of their most basic responsibilities?  They shouldn’t.”
House Majority Leader Eric I. Cantor (R-Va.): He plans to place his pay in escrow for the duration of the shutdown, according to a spokeswoman.
Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W. Va.): She has asked that her pay be withheld until the shutdown is over. "After the shutdown, she will donate that period of pay to charity," a spokesman said.
Sen. Thomas R. Carper (D-Del.): The senator plans to donate pay earned during the shutdown to a Delaware charity, a spokeswoman said.
Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Tex.): On his reelection campaign Facebook page, Castro said he would give up his pay in the event of a shutdown. "I hope you will ask Senator Ted Cruz why he refuses to give up his pay during a shutdown he pushed for," he added. (Cruz is among those lawmakers who have said they will refuse their pay.)
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah): He plans to decline his salary during the shutdown, according to local news reports.
Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.): The senator said Tuesday evening on CNN that he will continue accepting his salary and plans to "spend it and tithe it" as he always has.
Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.): “The American people sent us to Washington to do a job,” he said in a statement. “If we cannot live up to that obligation, we should not be taking a paycheck, a paycheck that is funded by the taxes paid by our fellow hardworking Americans.  If the federal government is shut down Members of Congress should not get paid, and we should not be held to a different standard when it comes to Obamacare, either.”
Sen. Christopher Coons (D-Del.): A spokesman said Tuesday that the senator is "going to send the Treasury a check for the salary he is paid during the shutdown."
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.): A spokeswoman says the senator "will not be paid during the federal shutdown. He donates to charity and does not believe a government shutdown should necessitate charitable contributions, compassion for fellow man should."
Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho): He will donate any pay earned during the shutdown, according to local news reports.
Rep. Steve Daines (R-Mont.): He will donate his salary during the shutdown to the Big Sky Honor Flight, his office said Tuesday.
Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.): This lawmaker from the Land of Lincoln said Tuesday via Twitter that "As long as the government remains shutdown, I will not accept a paycheck - I urge all Members of Congress to join me."
Rep. John Delaney (D-Md.): The freshman lawmaker said via Facebook on Wednesday that he plans to "donate the portions of his Congressional salary received during the government shutdown to charity."
Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash): “For as long as this unnecessary shutdown occurs, hundreds of thousands of public servants will be working without pay," she said in a statement Tuesday. "When sequestration began earlier this year, I returned 8.2% of my salary back to the Treasury, and for the duration of this shutdown, I will return the remainder of my personal salary as well."
Rep. William Enyart (D-Ill.): He said late Tuesday that he is "donating my pay for the duration of this senseless shut-down to a food bank in Southern Illinois and call upon my colleagues in Congress to do the same."
Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.): The senator first told a Wyoming reporter on Monday that he will return his earnings to the U.S. Treasury.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.): A spokesman says the senator "will donate her salary during the shutdown to the Consortium of Catholic Academies."
Rep. Randy Forbes (R-Va.): He sent a letter Wednesday asking that his pay be withheld for the duration of the shutdown.
Rep. Bill Foster (D-Ill.): He said in a statement Tuesday that “Until Congress ends this irresponsible shutdown, I will donate my pay to charity.”
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii): She said last Friday that "If a common-sense agreement is not reached, our hard-working troops, law enforcement and other essential personnel will continue to report for duty while receiving no pay, leaving their families at home with nothing but uncertainty. I sincerely hope a government shutdown does not occur, but if no deal is struck by next Tuesday, then Members of Congress should not be exempt from its very real, tough consequences."
Rep. Pete Gallego (D-Tex.): The freshman lawmaker said Monday, "I will be donating my salary to an organization that helps military men and women who are injured while serving their country. They have sacrificed — Congress should heed their example." On Saturday he also introduced the "Shutdown Member of Congress Pay Act," which would — you guessed it — withhold lawmaker pay in the event of a shutdown.
Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.): He is declining compensation during the shutdown "and will contribute those wages to the U.S. Treasury for debt reduction," a spokeswoman said.
Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.): In a 40-second YouTube video statement, he said "I shouldn't get a congressional salary while other federal employees are denied the ability to go to work. I'm going to take my salary during the government shutdown and donate it to the Wounded Warrior Project."
Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-N.M.): She plans to donate her salary to charities that help "military veterans avoid homelessness," a spokesman said.
Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.): A spokeswoman said Tuesday that she plans to donate the pay she makes over the course of the impasse.
Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah): The senator is "going to donate his paycheck to the LDS church," a spokesman said.
Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.): “During the shutdown of the federal government, I will donate my salary to a charity in North Dakota," she said in a statement. "Right now, federal workers across North Dakota and the country who chose to work in public service have been forced to go without pay – including my Senate staff.  It’s only fair that I not receive a salary during that time as well."
Rep. John Hoeven (R-N.D.): The senator plans to donate his shutdown-era pay to charity, a spokesman said.
Rep. Randy Hultgren (R-Ill.): He said he'll revoke his salary "until Congress passes and the President signs an acceptable solution to fund the federal government."
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.): The wealthiest member of Congress, his staff said he already donates his entire congressional salary to charity.
Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-Kan.): She posted a picture on her Facebook page of the letter she sent to House officials requesting that her pay be withheld.
Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.): An aide says that the senator "will have his salary withheld until the federal government re-opens."
Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.): The freshman lawmaker formally requested Tuesday that his pay be withheld during the shutdown.
Rep. Derek Kilmer (D-Wash.): On his Facebook page, he said he would give up his pay "for the duration of a government shutdown. I am dead set against a shutdown because it will have serious effects on our economy and because many people rely on services provided by federal agencies. The fact that some in Congress would risk a shutdown in order to score political points demonstrates why Congress is currently held in lower regard than head lice."
Rep. Ron Kind (D-Wis.): He wrote on his Facebook page Tuesday that "As long as furloughed federal workers go without pay, I will not take my own salary."
Sen. Angus King (I-Maine): The freshman senator has decided to place his earnings in an escrow account "and will only accept it if federal employees who work during the shutdown are also ultimately compensated for their work," a spokesman said. "In the event they are not, Senator King intends to donate his pay to charities in Maine."
Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.): He announced Tuesday that "he has elected to have his pay withheld until the federal government reopens," a spokesman said.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.): The senator "is giving her pay during the government shutdown to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, since lifesaving NIH medical research is being slashed during the shutdown," a spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho): He will have his pay withheld during the shutdown, according to local news reports.
Rep. Leonard Lance (R-N.J.): He formally requested Tuesday that his pay be suspended until a new spending bill has been passed.
Rep. James Langevin (D-R.I.): The lawmaker will donate his pay to charity in the event that federal employees are not paid retroactively for days lost. If that happens, Langevin "will be splitting his earnings between the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and the Rhode Island Good Neighbor Energy Fund," a spokeswoman said.
Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-N.J.): He took to Twitter on Monday to say that "As US Constitution prohibits immediate changes in Members' pay, I've requested my pay suspended if #shutdown occurs."

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.): In a statement, the Senate GOP leader said "the effects of this completely unnecessary shutdown will have a real impact on my constituents. And I will donate my paycheck to charity for as long as Senate Democrats deprive hardworking Americans of their paychecks during this completely unnecessary shutdown.” An aide said he plans to donate compensation earned during the shutdown to Wayside Christian Mission in Louisville.
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.): He announced he won't accept his pay in a statement sent to constituents Tuesday.
Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Tex.): One of the wealthiest members of Congress, he plans to donate his shutdown-era earnings to the March of Dimes, a spokesman said Wednesday.
Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.): He is donating his pay over the course of the shutdown, according to his office.
Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-Fla.): The freshman lawmaker plans to "donate his paycheck to a local veterans service organization," according to his office.
Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Tex.): He also posted a photo on his Facebook page of his request to have his pay withheld.
Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Tex.): “As long as the shut-down continues, I will not accept my pay," he said in a statement Tuesday. " I will be donating my entire pay for the length of the government closure to veterans’ service organizations (VSOs) in El Paso." He added that "In order to continue to serve El Paso, my offices will remain open, but at a reduced capacity. I will continue to use my Facebook page to keep you posted.”
Rep. Gary Peters (D-Mich.): He announced last week via Twitter that he would donate his pay during the shutdown to charity.
Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.): A spokesman says he plans to return compensation earned during the shutdown to the U.S. Treasury. A wealthy entrepreneur, he donated his entire salary to charity until this year, when he began returning his pay to the Treasury to pay down the debt.
Rep. Scott Peters (D-Calif.): He said Tuesday that he will donate pay during the duration of the shutdown to charity, because "“I do not believe that the leadership failure of the Republican majority can subject 800,000 workers to furloughs, and countless Americans to service delays and closures, while I collect a paycheck.”
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio): A spokeswoman said he plans to donate his pay during the shutdown to charity. "He is reviewing options now," she said.
Rep. Trey Radel (R-Fla.): On Twitter Tuesday he said, "Today I asked NOT to be paid until the government reopens. #governmentshutdown"

Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.): He told constituents in a statement that "I firmly believe that if Members of Congress fail to perform their most basic duty in passing a budget, then they do not deserve to be paid. It is in that vein that I will be donating the congressional salary I collect during the shutdown to a local Oregon charity to be named later. It’s time for Congress to get its act together.”
Rep. Allyson Schwartz (D-Pa.): A spokesman said that she plans to "go without her paycheck during the government shutdown" and is working to determine where she will donate the earnings.

Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.): On her Facebook page, she said "As a result of partisan bickering and gridlock, I have waived my salary for the duration of the government shutdown because Congress didn’t get the job done. Those who make the laws should have to live by those laws, and I will continue to fight for the people of Missouri’s 2nd District."

Oct. 2nd, 2013: Vote on five bills to fund five areas of federal government

Libertarian Girl shared Congressman Thomas Massie's post.
Update from Congressman Thomas Massie on the progress (or lack thereof) of the funding and government shut down debate:
Please Share this Update: Today we will vote on five bills to fund five areas of federal government. The media wants to make this a partisan issue, but all of these bills have republican and democrat support in the House. Assuming they pass, these will go to the Senate tonight.

(1) H.J. Res 70, Open Our National Parks and Museums
(2) H.J. Res 71, Provide Local Funding for DC
(3) H.J. Res 72, Honoring Our Promise to America's Veteran's
(4) H.J. Res 73, Research for Lifesaving Cures
(5) H.R. 3230, Pay Our Guard and Reserve

I think Veterans as well as Reservists and members of the Guard should be given the same respect and treatment that both chambers of congress and the president extended Monday to active duty members of the military. (If you agree or disagree with this statement, please comment.)

Please share this message, as I feel that the media is failing to report our activity in a timely or accurate manner. Many constituents are unaware that their members are voting on these bills today. Thank you!

Hey Wanna Opt out of Obamacare!? Well F You!

Obamacare Fines to be Seized From Bank Accounts? - Man who attempted to sign up claims he was threatened with drivers license being revoked, federal tax lien on home. http://www.infowars.com/obamacare-fines-to-be-seized-from-bank-accounts/

"Will Sheehan claims that when he tried to sign up for Obamacare and then register to opt out, he received an ominous warning. Sheehan’s full Facebook post reads;
“I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 “Silver Plan” and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I “opt-out” and chose to continue along with no insurance.
I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the “REPERCUSSIONS PORTION” for “non-payment” of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with “Non-Payment” and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy “Automatically withdraw” your “penalties” weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is “Free” or even “Affordable.”"
The site makes you register and give your Name, Address, Email, Phone Number and Yearly Earnings before it tells you what your Monthly Premiums and Deductibles are. Then if you decided to Opt-Out then they now have your information and know that you are potentially uninsured (Whether you are or aren't).

President Barack H. Obama, Decides Welfare Clerks Are More Essential to National Security than Military Reservists!

http://www.libertynews.com/2013/10/barack-hussein-obama-decides-welfare-clerks-are-more-essential-to-national-security-than-military-reservists/

"Hundreds of federal employees who work for the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (Welfare) are working despite the government shutdown.  They’re considered essential to national security...

...The Georgetown-educated pilot shared his tragic story with Foreign Policy Magazine this morning.
Major Brine has a wife and four children.  He is an Air Force Reservist and veteran of the Iraq War.  He has three federal defense jobs and has been deemed “non-essential” in every one of them.
According to Foreign Policy, Military Reservists aren’t being paid because they aren’t being considered “essential employees” by the commander-in-chief."
Nope can't have the Welfare establishment turning on the Government, nope that would be bad...
